We had the rhythm \r\nsection in the main room, the \r\nhorns in a booth (a big booth), but \r\n[there was] also a large window so \r\nthe horns could see the rhythm \r\nsection. All the horns recorded at \r\nthe same time so we could capture \r\nthe feel. The singers were in \r\nanother booth.' says trumpeter \r\nRick Kendrick. 'There was the \r\nusual overdubbing and whatnot, \r\nbut for the most part this captures \r\nour energy... I guess you could say \r\nour 'soul!'\r\nThese recordings are by far the \r\nband's best work - capturing the \r\nenergy and spontaneity of their \r\nlive show - 11 tracks of upbeat, \r\nhard-partyin' soul stompers!
